Northern Motion – Jutajaiset Folklore Festival

The real Santa Claus, a run on the Arctic Circle and the Midnight Sun make an exotically winning combination. Rovaniemi is well worth the trip - even if it is a long one. Santa takes care of the send-off; you enjoy a run and re-energize in the “nightless” July night, when the sun never sets.

The Rovaniemi Marathon traverses the city along the scenic shores of the Kemijoki River, the largest river in Finland. The event includes a half marathon, 10K and children’s Mini Marathon. All distances have been officially measured, so the results qualify as records. The level route provides for good results.
